Crew In 1941, the US Army wanted to develop a small General Purpose (GP) 4-wheel drive vehicle to meet the pressing demand for tough and reliable vehicles with excellent cross-country capabilities. During World War II, the Willy's GP served several roles to prove a valuable tool in bringing about the Allied victory, including transit for soldiers, light firearms carrier, command vehicle, communication platform, liaison vehicle and even sometimes as an ambulance. The Willys GP became a cornerstone small vehicle. This 1:32 scale version of the Willys GP depicts the vehicle as seen at Normandy in 1944.
