Speaking of food and drink...
Two of the Emperor's own personal staff unpack some tableware for a meal before battle and pour water into a bowl for the Emperor to refresh himself.
These two green-clad servants are part of Napoleon's own household and were often former soldiers themselves.
They accompanied him on campaign, taking care of all his personal needs and trying to make his life on the battlefield as comfortable as possible.
